U11G / U11 Girls Youth Soccer

U11G  / U11 Girls youth soccer seems to offer the most teams and the widest diversity of talent. Where these players will end up is anyone guess. Welcome to the ride.

Any teams add any outstanding players during tryout season?

Anonymous said...

B teams? Just wait until the coach has to make decisions between A team, the best team, and B team the second team. Second team means it comes second. Take care of A team first, then, when and if time, put towards B team. Top tournaments A team gets accepted Bteam stays home, or plays in bottom bracket with parent sub coach.
Now if you are a top level independent non ecnl team like the MSC Coyotes u-15-top in Nation, they travel together and are offered FREE entrance to both A and B teams to top level tournaments.Just to have the best team in the country in their tournament they get FREE no fees. for both teams. The power of being the National Champion and not part of ecnl.
Their little low cost town club team inspires us all. A true success story and model for girls youth soccer.
I sit here in NJ with all these issues in NJ youth soccer with my 12 year old daughter and my best friend tells of his daughter's great future.I pay way too much for too little here in NJ.

Anonymous said...

That is what is great about this country, you can leave and go wherever you choose...and before you start listing reasons why you HAVE to stay here (job, family, yada, yada, yada). They are not reasons why you HAVE to. They are reasons why you CHOOSE to stay. Quit whining or do something to make a change.

There are plenty of options in NJ/PA/NY.

ATTENTION: IF YOU ARE WISE YOU WILL STAY AWAY FROM THE NJ FORCE CLUB FOR THIS AGE GROUP, THE PERSON THAT WILL BE COACHING AT THIS AGE GROUP HAS A VERY DARK PAST THAT WILL COME OUT, HE IS NOT SOMEONE THAT SHOULD BE AROUND YOUNG GIRLS. DO YOUR HOMEWORK, HE WILL BE EXPOSED. I FEEL BAD FOR THE FOUNDER OF THAT CLUB, HE WILL BE BLIND SIDED BY INFORMATION.

Anonymous said...

That's a rather ominous statement. You've said it before, too. Instead of being so cryptic and secretive, why don't you actually tell us what's so bad about this coach? These warnings are clearly meant to make us read between the lines.

Anonymous said...

Actually the new and wonderful NJ Force coach has a stellar resume and involved with lots of community service work through out the years. Coach of the Year in 2010. Has his own foundation that helps the less fortunate.
Sorry your girl was not invited back to the team. We know who you are.

Anonymous said...

That situation should be taken care of before practices start.

If there is sufficient reason this gentleman should not be coaching that team, it needs to be brought to light.

If this is just an enemy stirring up false trouble, shame on you.

Anonymous said...

Well said.....it's obvious that it's an enemy that is just blowing steam....SHAME ON YOU!!

that is a very serious allegation to post on an anonymous blog. If it is so well known, why don't you post the coach's name so everyone can familiarize themselves with this person? If it's sour grapes then you should really think about what you post. These kind of allegations can ruin a family.

Anonymous said...

I agree, there are 2 sides to every story. Don't make a judgement on this person unless you all the facts. Situation like this should not be for a blog, should be handle the correct way. Speak to the coach himself to hear both sides!

Anonymous said...

heard this before but it wasn't for a year, it was a shorter period of time. in reading the post don't know why they wouldn't say his name, the best part of all the messages is that there is a general statement that everyone, everywhere should do, ask questions about anyone who is going to be involved with your childs life, teachers, coaches, etc. There is no harm in that, at least that is what I believe. I don't like these blogs, nothing good every comes from them, I so like when there is some general thoughts on how teams play, outcomes of games, etc...but the bull about my club is better than yours, etc., etc. it s bunch of junk, enjoy this time your have to share with your child and the great experiences that you can have at any level of play, before you know it she will be 18 years old and you will look back and say where did the time go!

Anonymous said...

Amen, yes a religious statement. don't hold that against me. lmao.
enjoy the time spent enjoying your childs experience!

I didn;t read anysides into a statement about a fact, but if a punishment was handed down by NJYS I am sure they would have heard both sides of the story, just saying

Anonymous said...

Pda man has to now bash coaches and make stuff up. Shame pda man and pda.
Seems to me that pda has it's own coaching issues with coaches not having the proper credentials and forfeiting games for carding problems. pda Daddy coaches, and a pda coach that left his team at a tournament. Lied, arrived late Friday, went out late, bolted Saturday morning leaving team behind, something about basketball?

The rat that keeps posting about coaches falaely is a loser with no life,What a waste of time putting lies and possibly damaging a family. Its a real shame this blog has come to this keep hiding your time is coming

Anonymous said...

there are no lies posted, just facts

Anonymous said...

don't think a fact that was commented on about a coach that was suspended by NJYS for his actions against a 16 year old female ref would damage a family, they already would know, but the fact that you don't and you are going to play for that coach. That would be an issue that may damage your family in the end. Food for thought

Anonymous said...

Sorry your girl was not invited back to the team. We know who you are.

Was that court appointed community service, there is no foundation, this guy is blowing smoke up your you know what. That sad part is that you beleive him. I feel sorry for you, you will be the one that is taken advantage of in the end.

Sorry to change the topic

But if all things were equal rank which coach would be your 1st choice to coach/train your daughter:

1. Played Professionally

2. UEFA "A" license

3. USSF "A" License

Anonymous said...

Actually none of them- I found that there are D or E license trainers that are have more knowledge that the ones mentioned.

There are so many players that have a hard time teaching others.

Back to soccer for a moment. Who is going down to the games tomorrow. Should be interesting in the anticipated inclement weather. Good luck to the remaing teams. Play well and I hope that the games get decided on the field not by a referee. Stay dry and enjoy th egames.

New U11 state rankings

RAGE, NJ Crush, PDA Storm, NJX Celtic, Match Fit Lady Falcons

Anonymous said...

RAGE by far the top team

pda has no reason to be in top 10 moreless top 5. Are you crazy, or just bias towards pda because they are a so called high price academy team. Where did that money get them?

Anonymous said...

What were the semi final scores?

Anonymous said...

Crush 5 MF 1
Rage 2 NJX 1

Anonymous said...

To me I took a wasted trip today, fields were just unplayable. Can't believe they played today, today was basically who can kick the ball the farthest.

Congrats to Rage for winning

Anonymous said...

Well fought game and the better team today won. Well done, Rage.

Anonymous said...

Rankings update:
Rage
Crush
NJX
Matchfit
PDA Storm

Anonymous said...

I totally agree! The fields were UNPLAYABLE for this level of soccer! What an absolute waste of time and a waste of talent!

Shame on the powers to be to not postpone the games!

Congrats to all 4 teams! Congrats to Crush & Congrats to Rage!

I really wanted to see some special soccer today, instead it was more a mud fest, long ball's and pray!

If any of you coordinators read this, Thanks for nothing!

Anonymous said...

Big cry babies. After 70 minutes of soccer you should have no excuses. Congrats to Rage.

Anonymous said...

Mud affected the MF-Crush game

But it was pretty much a passing clinic, not a lesson in long ball play

I don't think Match Fit had all their players but not sure it would have mattered

Rage had the defensive answers MF lacked

I heartily agree Field 3 should have been rendered unplayable

Anonymous said...

Match Fit does not belong in the top 5 after the score today.

Anonymous said...

Yesterday in my opinion unfair to gauge these girls. My daughter does not play for any of these teams. So this is an outsider providing his thoughts.

Yes fields were Horrible, that Field 3 on the one side was a huge mud pit. This was not a disply of passing, it was totally direct. Long ball and kids had not choice with Grass so high and mud all of the place. But Rage and Crush kids adjusted and this is reason why they won.

Can't provide much in game anaylsis and I moved back and forth.

Anonymous said...

No excuses to be made. fields were bad for all teams.

Rage proved to be best team that day and match fit had hard time on the big field.

Match fit played a very compact small sided game.

They did not use the width of the field. Very common with small sided teams. It showed yesterday. They will adjust and be better for it.

Rage, match fit, Crush, NJX are all very good teams

Anonymous said...

I dont think anyone can dispute the top 4 teams made the semis. Congrats to Rage, well deserved. Anytime you can beat Njx and Crush on the same day, its a great soccer day. For all the nay sayers about the competition at the Jefferson Cup, did anyone check out the scores of the Epic tournament? Calvert Crew from MD destroyed everybody they played in Epic Somerset hills Sta, that powerhouse Washington rec team. And they Calvert didnt even win the Jefferson Cup.

Anonymous said...

Great showing by Rage club this weekend. They won U14G super group as well.

Anonymous said...

Hey toolbag, Calvert Crew did not destroy everyone. Shows you weren't there watching so you should keep your comments to games you actually watched! What a D Bag!

Anonymous said...

I wasn't there either, but 4-0-0 (5-0, 3-1, 6-1 and 6-0 scores) and a +18 goal differential looks pretty convincing to me. sounds like you were one of the "stompees"?

Anonymous said...

Sounds like someone's daughter was on the losing end of one of these matchups:

CALVERT CREW WHITE (MD)5
SJEB '02 (NJ) 0

SOMERSET HILLS SC FLASH (NJ)1 CALVERT CREW WHITE (MD) 3

CALVERT CREW WHITE (MD) 6 MORRIS UNITED/STA HEAT RED (NJ)1

CALVERT CREW WHITE (MD) 6 WASHINGTON UNITED FEVER (NJ)0

....I'd say the suggestion that they destroyed everyone seems to be legitimate. Get some thicker skin. I don't think it was a personal attack.

Anonymous said...

Toolbag? Yes he sounds very upset. Must've hit a nerve. By those scores, I too would say they dominated everyone and easily.

Anonymous said...

So whicb was it? 6-0 5-0 or 6-1. Bet you Calvert was pissed, they pribably thought they would get some good competition. All they got was laughers. Heard their goalie scored three goals

Anonymous said...

Calvert is real deal when all the players show-up. Low cost, well trained group of girls that love soccer. Team is made up of hard working parents that can not always get everywhere or afford it.
Calvert team has been the talk of many blogs recently.

Anonymous said...

Maryland has some pretty good teams being such a small state and all.

Anonymous said...

how is Matchfit in the top 5. my daughters teams has played the very good NJ Crush and has NEVER lost to them 5-1. just saying

Anonymous said...

Re: Epic torunament

They dont play 11 v 11 in PA. so there were just the weaker Jersey teams (nice job Somerset Hills, btw, losing just 3-1 to Calvert and winning their other 2)

Calvert would have been better served playing 8 v 8 this past weekend... but cant fault them for not knowing

Anonymous said...

DELCO brackets out

Match Fit vs Crush in the opener on 5/25

Anonymous said...

WOW - Match Fit lost 5-1. Sounds like they should drop to the bottom 5 in the rankings on this blog ! I didn't see any games from the weekend, but heard that field conditions were crap (of course they were crap for both teams) - and I also read that Match Fit was down players (but that it wouldn't have mattered anyways). I did speak with a parent that watched the MF-Crush game (a player's father from one of the teams) - he told me that Crush was the much faster team on Sunday, and that MF just looked slow & tired (which was unusual). I do believe that these 2 teams have played a few times recently (all previous were 8v8), and that all have been good games (please correct me if I am wrong). The 2 teams play each other again at Delco - lets see what happens there. I think MF will adjust, and the result will be much different. It's only U11, but its great, competitive soccer.

And congrats to RAGE -- a job well done !

Anonymous said...

NJ Crush brought it to MF and put them on their heels from the beginning of the game. They came out strong and kept the pressure on for 70 minutes. They also seem to be making the transition to 11 v. 11 very well. they used the entire width of the field and kept their form and spacing nicely. As was previously posted earlier today, MF played very narrow and did not adjust well to the large field. It will come for them. they have a tremendous amount of talent and I'm sure will make the appropriate adjustments with more full-sided experience.

Anonymous said...

My daughters Toms River team lost in Premier league, showing no love for this group!

Question: I was informed or this is a rumor, the Hotel that Match Fit players stayed at had a fire and had to evacuate the Hotel at 3am in the morning. Can anyone confirm this?

From the posts above, it would not have matter. Curious to see if true or not

Anonymous said...

I am a match fit parent (for real). Yes, we had to evacuate our hotel at 4:30 Sunday morning, yes we were down a player and yes the field was awful AND with that said the crush would have beat us if the girls had 18 hours of sleep, if we had guest players from that US national team and if the game was played on turf! The crush were the superior team yesterday. They had us on our heels and took us out of our game from the start. It was a beat down. If our girls and our coach are what I know thay are they'll learn from it and bounce back. Congrats to the crush. We'll see you in delco in a few weeks. I'm hoping we can give you a better game.

Anonymous said...

What? No excuses? No stupid put-downs of the opposing players or parents? No second grade grammar/spelling/sentence structure?

Match Fit Parent, clearly you're unfamiliar with the policies of this blog. We'll expect more whining next time.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, yeah yeah and if my grandmother had a penis she'd be my grandfather.... stop making stupid excuses, Match Fit is a small sided team who struggles playing large sided and is at least two years away from being in the top 5 period!

Anonymous said...

That's an honest parent, that's for information. To bad that happened to your girls on a big day.

Anonymous said...

5:32 I understand reading comprehension is probably not your strong suit. I'll give you another chance to read my post......I assume you need about 10 minutes so for the sake of the others I'll ask where the excuses are? To the contrary I was trying to emphasize that there where no excuses for yesterday's loss. The crush were the better team. If you need it in crayon next time just let me know.

Anonymous said...

Love seeing club teams beat up an academy team. Might as well light that $3k on Fire! It's the Coach that matters, stop drinking the academy kool-aid.

Anonymous said...

What club are you speaking of? What club team beat up a academy team? Please clarify

Anonymous said...

People, do you really think Match Fit and PDA really care about results right now? Trainers\coaches would like to win but this is not there goal. We as parents care, lets see how these clubs look next year and then year after.

Anonymous said...

lol

cared yesterday - yep

Anonymous said...

I can't stand listening to the gay crush parent who post every other blog, get a life. It is so obvious this is your first soccer experience and in three years when it really matters is when you will be awakened to reality.

Anonymous said...

Congrats to Rage for winning the NJ cup, VERY well deserved. Clearly the class of the division.
I think EB might have been their toughest game in the tourney

gakster said...

Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah......Hello .....Excuse me enough of this Matchfit/Rage/Crush shit.....Folks the GAK won the East Windsor Summer Kick Off, by wooping up on some of that EBSC and TRFC. Congratulations to the GAK NATION!!!!!

Anonymous said...

GAKm Haha! You beat B teams for TRFC and EBSC and now you're a great team? LOL, i don't think so

Anonymous said...

I would suggest that we just ignore the Gak comments, but it is to easy when the Gakster lobs the easy ones up there like beating B teams

Anonymous said...

Nice job, GAK!

If you are playing at your level and succeeding, good for you

Anonymous said...

Not that tryouts are wrapping up it will be interesting to see what teams form or fall apart.

Sounds like a real recruiting war on the shore.

Anonymous said...

I wish there was one more Game This past weekend.I would like to see how Medford would do against Rage.Have they ever played?....Toms River games were exciting to watch. After looking like they would cream the Spartans in the first 20 min.The Spartans , came back to take the lead.TR then came back to force over time. Then scored 3 fast goals in over time to take the semi. The Spartan should be proud of how far they got, those girls never quit and had Toms on the ropes.Much closer game then the 6-3 final score.....In the final,Toms had plenty of offensive opportunities but couldn't put one in the back of the net.Their offense looked stronger but Medford seamed to have more team speed, and stronger Defense.Another very close game...Congratulations to Boca,Paramus, and Toms River for making the final 4,and Medford for winning the division.

Anonymous said...

You are talking about a completely different level of play...... not even close.....

Anonymous said...

The overrated Matchfit and their daddy coach got smacked. That team is nothing special. They had an easy ride to the semis And you don't think they care about winning? Yeah right, did you see those parents on the sidelines Sunday?

Anonymous said...

Poster 235 .Level of play was great, only difference i could see is team size and depth on the bench. Some girls grow sooner ,in another year or so things will even out.If you don't think a few girls from those 4 teams could take your daughters spot ,your mistaken my friend!

Anonymous said...

NJ Stallions are holding their last and final tryout this Friday night in Wayne. With the level of players that have already been accepted, this team looks to be a promising one for next year as both Danny Vedder and Shaun Cryer will be taking over the team together.

It was a very easy switch for me to make with my daughter moving clubs as the Stallions club is very professional and both those coaches have reached the highest level of competition youth soccer has to offer with their previous and current teams.

The team is looking to gain 2-3 more players to fill the roster. If interested, please contact dominique_perez@mac.com for more information.

Also if available, the last tryout will take place at PCT (Passaic County Tech High School) baseball fields this Friday night from 8:15-9:30.

Thanks

You people are pathetic. MF gets whooped by Crush but they're still awesome somehow? We (STA)outplayed Crush and lost 1-0 the round before, but lost to a very strong team Calvert and we're a "weaker" NJ team? Morons

Anonymous said...

What team did you leave?

Anonymous said...

That was for 3:07

Anonymous said...

MF stinks because they lost a game.
NJ Crush stinks too because they almost lost to a tier two team.
STA is now the #1 ranked team in the state because they almost beat what many consider one the best teams in the state.
Do I have the right?

Anonymous said...

STA better known as second tier academy can you please tell us the last time you won a game? Your team is pathetic. You have never beaten match fit the old Jefferson. You lost to TSF, somerset Hills, both second tier teams. Parents call some coach's and have your kids go to a legitimate academy. Stop throwing your $$$ away.

Anonymous said...

SC taking over the U11(current) team. What happened to PJ? SC must not like any of the moms at the older age Group anymore so now he has to come down to the younger age group - how is that guy still in the country?

Anonymous said...

To the person who keeps copying/pasting the same old Blog about the NJ Force coach, why can't you back up what you are saying? Your daughter didn't make the team?

Anonymous said...

How come people break on the PDA Dragons when the y drop games but no love is given when they win a game? I will show them some love.

May 11 2013
PDA Dragons 4
Manalapan Dynamite 0

Anonymous said...

The dragons are a good team .Most games against Manalapan are one goal games....Our team beat the Dragons but they didn't look bad, they were having trouble scoring early in the season.Don't pay that ASS any mind who bad mouths 10 year old girls. He needs a smack from some kids Mom.

Anonymous said...

Comparing Medford to Rage is so crazy, they are at a totally different level, Rage,PDA,NJX would kill the Medford team it would be a 6-0 game at half and then play keep away the rest of the way. Yes I know this because I have seen Medford play for quite some time.

Anonymous said...

Don't get stupid, you squeeked by East Brunswick.I think EB and Medford would be a pretty even match. Rage will loss again soon. They are good but you talk like nobody has a chance against them. I watched them get there buts kicked all Winter, OH but thats not real soccer.Stop talking out of your ass and learn how to say congratulation to the other teams instead of bad mouthing them.

Anonymous said...

Nj stallions is not nj crush. SC and PJ work for different organizations and are not connected.

Not sure how SC and DV are going to coach all those teams at a stallions?

Anonymous said...

One win does not make the Dragons championship threats. Their soccer talent is above average. Their speed/athleticism is average. Their coach is a complete nothing in terms of making teams better and I would say way below average for PDA.

His talent evaluation is so poor. I mean anyone could see there were speedsters at try outs - not soccer superstars but some very fast girls who if developed could really help. None of those girls made it to upgrade athleticism. They absolutely needed to get more athletic. Then to compound he also cut one of the best athletes in the age group(Storm or Dragons) then added a back-up from a lesser academy, and a pair of town teamers that are not the best players on their respective teams. Of course he also kept existing below average girls at the back of the roster because they've been there for years.

Lastly, coach does nothing to address fitness of the team all season. Several players do not appear to be in soccer shape. I know there are 18 players so the minutes aren't crazy but gosh, make your team run a bit every practice - a mile takes what? 7-10 minutes?

Constructive criticism from someone who knows the sport.

THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!

Where do I start!!!

OK, lets start here...

Match fit - You suck! Unlike the NE Patriots who went undefeated in the season, but lost the superbowl, they just suck ... BUT YOU... YOU.... YOU LOST TO NJ CRUSH.... YOU REALLY REALLY SUCK! Welcome to the big leagues! I wrote a long time ago, welcome to the big leagues, keep your thick skin, thick! Your going to need it because everyone hates you, especially anyone not on your team!

Ok, lets jump ahead to Background Checks on our Head Coaches. Full criminal checks are done on all USCLUB carded coaches. NJ FORCE's coach came back with Serious Issues! The President of USCLUB spoke on this matter and said,"We find nothing out of the ordinary with Serious Issues, Since we find most parents on the sidelines have serious issues! Matter closed!"

STA, STA, STA, are you really showing your face on this board? Why stoop so low? Why bellow in the trenches? Why? You are polite, no one has a bad thing to say about, your parents are quiet on the sidelines and to be honest, you are a challenging enjoyable team to play, but now you stoop to the level of idiotic, idealistic, over opinionated and just plain ridiculous. WELCOME! GLAD TO HAVE YA!

Now this I love, hear me out, SECOND TIER! That sounds so cool, SECOND TIER! What the F--K is SECOND TIER? So I must quote my favorite writer, Mark Twain,"Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please!"

I am still a GAK fan, Great win! Wins! Winning!

Thanks for being an idiot and reading this post, GET A LIFE!

In my opinion the premier final was a better game.Should these teams have been in the super bracket, probably not ,maybe next year.I do think they would of had at least as good of a chance to get to the semi's as half the teams in the super group. Congratulations to all the final 4 teams! Keep up the great work.

Anonymous said...

If u think the teams that made the final 4 of the premier group could make the semis of the super group, you are delusional. Maybe if Rage njx mf or crush played minus their goalies, then maybe. Your opinion is not a logical one.

Anonymous said...

Dragons congratulations on beating a team that played Mosa last year. Makes the money spent worth it now. Manalapan probably played without there best girl. Check where the wildcats were, she was probably there

Anonymous said...

Medford against rage? Come on!!!!! Just looking at ur past scores on got soccer. You've lost to manalapan ,ajax twice, Njx.Matter of fact you didnt score a goal against those teams but you want to play rage. Give the coach a call, Im sure he will accept your request. I guess that was before your daughter came to medford.

Anonymous said...

I hope you people are very proud of yourselves. the way you smash down little girls is incredible. you do know that these are 10 and 11 year olds, right? that this is not about you? although very hard to tell. grow up and let these kids play because if you think they dont know what their parents are saying you are delusional.

DON'T BE FOOLED BY NJ FORCE AT THIS AGE GROUP RJ SHOULD HAVE DONE HIS HOMEWORK BEFORE HIRING THE COACH. HE HAS HAD SERIOUS ISSUES IN THE PAST AND WAS BANNED FROM NJ SOCCER FOR 6 MONTHS FOR ACTIONS INVOLVING A 16 YEAR OLD FEMALE OFFICIAL. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE PAY TO PLAY CLUBS?

Everyone should know the truth and there is more where this coach is concerned, it is sad that he is allowed to coach young girls. Things will surface and you will want to run for the hills.

Anonymous said...

8:48 at least this is on an anonymous board that the kids don't read. I doubt very much they care about the world of youth soccer when they are not at training or playing.

Imagine how these little girls feel when their coach calls them out in front of their team the other team and all the parents watching a game. I guess it's a great feeling for our kids to learn at 10/11 years old - all just to win a game.

There are plenty of these GREAT Coaches with all their great experience they still are a bunch of bullies pushing around 10 and 11 year old girls. But they are the coach so we all suck it up.

I'll take this board over one of those coaches any day of the week.

Anonymous said...

To 9:19 - don't presume kids don't read it. One of my daughter's friends on Instagram posted a screenpic of one of the comments on this board badmouthing her team.

Anonymous said...

9:38 WOW my bad.

So I guess you would take the coach over this board.

I wouldn't - the second i see my daughter's coach making a little girl feel small my daughter or another - I will yank my kid out of there so fast - there are plenty of clubs with coaches that care. I will gladly walk away and let someone else deal with it. I'm not one that cares about the Club my kid plays for - as long as they are in a good team environment for them to learn - that's all i care about.

The talk is about teams, not girls.

This is America. This is a blog. It's all the rage these days

Get lost and block your child if you dont like it.

Anyone here who mentions individual players is admonished very quickly.

Anonymous said...

Dragons are a very popular topic on this blog. Most funny, some rude, but mostly not true. Now that tryouts are over, thinks its time to clarify.

We obviously have a Concerned Parent, Cranky Parent or Crazy Parent lets just refer to them as CP. They obviously didn't handle the lack of playing time or pressure of tryouts very well. Honestly believe CP's rants were an attempt to discourage others from trying out.

Dragons are very well coached. Coach brings a positive attitude, years of experience and most importantly patience to these young girls.

MY daughter is a much better soccer player now than she was last September. Her foot skills, vision and LOVE of the game have increased dramatically.

We have played great teams all year. We got smoked some games, had some heartbreaking 0-1's and some good wins against good teams. Don't think Dragons are proclaiming themselves as the best but we certainly enjoy playing them.

As for the money, thats a personal preference. I don't write a check expecting W's (of course we enjoy them). I expect professionalism, improvement and my daughter enjoying herself. I got all of that and will gladly write another check for 2013/2014.

I would like to thank our coach for his time, patience, and positive attitude throughout the year.

Good luck and health to your daughters over the summer. I look forward to playing against them next Fall.

Dragons have an atrocious coach. Has no idea how to defend a corner kick and has never practiced defending a corner kick with the team.
The players run around in circles when an opposing team takes a free kick.Defenders are clueless when it comes to off sides or even how to hold a line.
Dragons practices consist of drills off the internet. Ever now and then the coach is happy because he finds a new drill.
You think he would get some help from the club. NOT, but they cash the checks from parents and pay his the coach not so small salary .

We have played the Dragons for many seasons now and have a few friends that their daughters play on the Dragons. These girls are doing the same things they did on their town teams before they joined the Dragons. There has been NO/ZERO change in their play. They do try hard and do create chances, but ultimately will always be second or third fiddle to Storm and Ajax. Its your choice to play where you want to play, but PDA does not care about its b or c teams, come on really. The girls we know are great girls make no mistake about that, its just a shame these parents are being sold a bad bill of goods. Consistent trainers and coaches is most important and if your not getting it, its only the PDA name that makes you think your so good. Good luck in the summer, hopefully PDA will keep the teams playing over the summer and not let you go out on your own. If not, see you all in the Fall.

Not uncommon for teams to spend LITTLE time on restarts. Not at this age.....

9. Dragons
10. TSF
11. Medford
12. SDFC
13. Wildcats
14. Toms River
15. STA

Your a joke. Talk from whatever "perspective" you devise. When you talk about the Dragons you are talking about your daughter, her friends and my daughter. You trash the team but are the first to smile and wave to the coach.
Your girls are great but your insane. I do want to thank you for removing yourself from our sideline and staying by your car.
I would love to continue to rip on you like you do our daughters but the fat lady is about to take the stage and sing a song just for you.

Later "looser".

NJ Force u12 Fall is forming 2 teams? We went to 2 nights of try outs- 1 too many for me. Now I hear they are still holding try outs and haven't decided on their A and B team? When will you announce teams? Many are making decisions on Fall teams the next week or so. Anyone have information to share? Regardless we are out but met 2 kids that may come to H with us.

Parent & Player Dynamics
"Let the kids decide"
The following is an excerpt from "The Vision of a Champion" by Anson Dorrance, University of North Carolina Women's Head Coach

In my experience, the best soccer parents more or less let their children do their own thing. These parents are not directly involved in their children's soccer, especially not as a part of a 'management team.' They do not coach their players from the sideline, or attempt to solve political problems or serve as enablers of complaining or negativity. They are completely supportive of their children- win, lose, or draw. The bottom line - they fulfill the role of a parents job which is basically love their children.
Of course, they came and watched their daughters play, and hugged them after they won or lost. They were there for them, but did not serve as a sounding board for the events of the game, or for whether the girls were playing well or not. I also knew that among these players, the passion and success was coming directly from the girls themselves. They were intrinsically driven, not parent-driven. They were intrinsically led and managed, not parent-led or managed. What is true of all the soccer superstars I know is that these were their dreams not their parents dreams.
What doesn't work is a daughter without strong character and the same type of parent. These two, who are not willing to take personal responsibility for anything, bond together and develop a self-righteous, judgemental view of their world, which is especially damaging to the daughter, whose character is being formed. What you have in this dynamic is a player who wines to her parent, and a parent who supports and justifies whining and then whines to everyone else.
Almost every stressed-out, self-destructive soccer player is characterized by over managing parents. The successful players I've seen at UNC have not had these managerial-style relationships with their parents. Cindy Parlow's parents were exceptional. They helped her to facemany hurdles in her career, including her injuries and other challenges, such as skipping her senior year of High school to enroll early at UNC, and the pressure of playing with the US National team. What I appreciated about the Parlows is that they never let Cindy whine orcomplain, even though such an incredibly talented girl faced a common and painful dilemna from the envy of other players and parents. Complaining to the parents is a way to garner support for the reason they aren't playing. Its a self-preservation instinct, but also a way of not taking responsibility. A player complains to parents, who then jumps in and reacts with one side of the information. When I explain the problem, the parent might say to me, " Do you tell her? All you have to do is tell her." Of course, I've told the player what to do a thousand times in a thousand different ways. But the message to the player when the parent reacts like this is,"Great, I tell my parents anything and they'll believe me, support me, and protect me from this chaos in my universe...none of this is my fault."

Hope you enjoyed this excerpt
from time to time we will share these things for you bloggers its a nice reality check from the most successful soccer mind to ever coach.

Storm in U12 JAGS is 7-0 with 6 shutouts. Out scored opponents 23-1. That is rediculous.

So is your spelling! They have played 3rd tier U-12 teams in JAGS.

Anonymous said...

Beat t wall and haddonfield both flight 2 . Both shutouts 2-0

Easy for the North Carolina coach to write anything when you have the best players in the country going to your school. PDA Storm really challenged this spring by moving to U12. I know they think big picture. Ridiculous.

PS. All Coaches say the same thing, the bottom line the kids with talent will make it regardless as long as they decide to stick with the sport.

NJX Celtic vs PDA Storm whenever you're ready! 2nd tier U-12 JAGS teams when the top teams play EDP so if those teams played JAGS Wall & Haddonfield would be 3rd tier teams. Still a good job but still not top U-11G team.

Anson Dorrance (born April 9, 1951) is an American soccer coach. He is currently the head coach of the women's soccer program at the University of North Carolina. He has one of the most successful coaching records in the history of athletics. Under Dorrance's leadership, the Tar Heels have won 21 of the 31 NCAA Women's Soccer Championships. The Tar Heels' record under Dorrance is 719-39-24 (.935 winning percentage) over 33 seasons as of September 9, 2011. He has led his team to a 101-game unbeaten streak and coached 13 different women to a total of 20 National Player of the Year awards. The NCAA has recognized Dorrance as the Women's Soccer Coach of the Year seven times (1982, 1986, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2006) and as the Men's Soccer Coach of the Year in 1987. On March 10, 2008 Dorrance was elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame.[1]

I hope there are some pro teams this guy has coached (internationally) before you throw around the greatest soccer mind commnent

Bora Milutinović
He is a Mexican-Serbian football coach, and with Carlos Alberto Parreira one of only two persons to have coached five different teams at the World Cup: Mexico (1986), Costa Rica (1990), the United States (1994), Nigeria (1998), and China (2002). He is also the first coach to take four different teams beyond the first round, before failing to do so with China, henceforth earning the nickname of Miracle Worker,[1] first given to him by Alan Rothenberg, then president of the United States Soccer Federation.[2] In total Milutinović has coached eight different national football teams.

I can throw more of these types of coaches out there.

Bora ??? Really thats the best you can do ? Look up his record as a coach. He's not top 100 in soccer coaching. Anson Dorrance led the US National team to World Cup Championship as the head coach. He has over a .900 % winning percentage at any level or any sport thats amazing.

yes Bora. But this is a u11 girls board - so I will stop.

Just a quick question - since you brought up USWNT -Do you also believe what Dorance is saying about youth soccer and the future of the USWNT?

SA: Why are the U.S. women’s and girls national teams no longer as dominant?

ANSON DORRANCE: We’re not as slick as we should be. We’re not as technical as we should be. We’ve relied on the classic American mentality and American athleticism because our genetic pool is so large, but we’re just not as polished and not sophisticated enough.

As a result these other countries, who could never get on the field with us, like a Mexico, now actually can steal a game from us. We have to get back to work.

SA: Perhaps there wasn’t enough criticism of how the U.S. was getting results so we ended up with a playing style that relied too much on athleticism rather than skill …

ANSON DORRANCE: Part of our evolution as a soccer culture is to be self-critical. That’s the first step and it’s starting to change. I genuinely feel a lot of what’s going on right now is tremendous for us and in the next eight years we’ll see a significant difference in the way Americans approach a game.

On the men’s side, too, it’s no longer good enough just to get a result.

We still want the result, but we want to dominate more of the game, have more of the ball, play a certain way. Our expectations are changing in a very positive way.

SA: It seems to me that relying on size and athleticism to win seems to be an even bigger problem on the girls' side than on the boys’ …

ANSON DORRANCE: Yes, it is. And a part of the reason is the girls don’t watch the game. And honestly not too many of their coaches do either.

And the game they should watch, in all deference to where ever our top women’s teams are, is the men’s game. The men’s game is the university for the women’s game. We should be studying the men’s game the way anyone would study at an institution of higher learning.

We’ve got to learn from the men and part of the way to learn is to watch. But we don’t and as a result we lack sophistication, we lack problem-solving, we lack ideas in the final third.

And the way we survive in the women’s game is with raw athleticism. We overpower another player and blow it into the goal -- and that’s not going to cut it anymore.

Anonymous said...

SA: Alarm bells have gone off about American women’s soccer because other nations have caught up and are producing more skillful teams than the USA. Looking back 20 years, what should we have been done differently?

ANSON DORRANCE: Trust me, if we had done what’s being put in place now, [a curriculum] for Zone 1, the U-12 level and below, and Zone 2, the teenage level, there’s absolutely no question in my mind we’d be at a different level.

Anonymous said...

Who has PDA Storm played in a friendly, even a controlled scrimmage since the start of September?

I am just curious.

Thanks.

Anonymous said...

You know, I found Anson Dorrance's about face interesting. He's been a tremendously successful coaching training teams in the 'American Style' of play. He practically invented it! And now that it no longer dominates the world stage we need to hit the rewind button and go back to developing technical skill and creative play? No argument from me on that, but come on man, AD plays a HUGE part in why American women play with force over finesse. Rings hollow to me.

Wow...Why attack a person's life away from soccer fields on this blog. I'm sure that person and his family have suffered enough from business and jobs. Everyone knows persons who have had failed business ventures and lost jobs. why go there?

That being said, I would be concerned and ask questions to that coach about why he was banned from NJYS for 6 months, it must have been serious. I wonder what the scariest of all! means....If I were going to have my child playing for a person where this statement is made, I may want to ask him some questions.

Yes we know that Match Fit is in Holmdel, no worries, with your inclusion in the ECNL you will draw more than your fair share of top players, but that will happen more next year. Be Patient. Clubs like NJ force, NJ Wildcats, NJSA will also draw some very decent players but not the top...And those teams will continue to get beat by town clubs that have have quality teams....I don't really know how some parents justify invesments at these clubs...Many will pay much more than PDA players pay, at least they get exposure and play for the top girls club in the country.

What ever you choose is your own decision, but don't be suprised if your hear I told you so!

Anonymous said...

Why would a blog remove posts that are only factual and we posted with the hopes that parents of players would know facts about the person who will be involved with their child at least 3 days per week. Who has an agenda here?

I would be asking why facts are removed, did this coach contact the admin of this blog? Is that person involved in the NJ Force Club?

You should not allow someone to remove the facts, that is the wrong thing to do! And now you will also be exposed when the facts are broght to light!

Skip NJ Force....Go to Holmdel (Former Middletown Elite Team). A quality team with a very positive coach. And I have no affiliation with this club or team, but 100% more credibility on this team then with NJ Force.

You should just be happy people havent come on here to reveal the truth about you and your controlling, obsessive, arrogant behavior. Maybe that's why half of your team is going to play for someone else. You sir, need to reflect!

Cant talk much about Premier cup - I think Toms river will slide into the winners circle, someone posted about MF Jaguars game, they were right. It was a good game and honestly, the MF Jaguars are a very decent team. Cant see anyone beating TR in this division!

Ok, the JUICY Super Group!

NJX vs. RAGE - Oh MAN! You want to see a game of playa's, here you go!
Both these teams play such a similar game, it will not be a game of skill but a game of error's! Make a mistake, and you are dead! These girls will take full advantage of a positioning error and you will pay the price, trust me! All 22 girls on the field at any time are top notch players, Dont miss this one!

Crush vs. Match Fit - AMAZING MATCH UP!

This MF team or Cinderella team as I like to call them, have to have a fairy god mother over them. They are beating teams that should CRUSH them(sorry, bad humor!). They dont play 11vs11, but they keep beating teams that do? How do you do that? What hype-up juice do you feed your players, coach? I want a gallon! Not many of us know much about you, so let me add a little Hype-up juice of my own for any fool that wants to read this: Since 9/9/2012 you played in 15 games in the NPL, Your goal against average is .46 Thats right, less than 1/2 point per game! You wooped Oakwood 3-1 just recently(until then, you were their ONLY tie, and they had never lost a game), You played TSF, which I find to be a decent team, that plays 11vs11 Full time, and beat them 3-0. Your team scores goals, your mid fielders know how to control and slow down their opponents and your defense is now to be known as the IRON CURTAIN! Your team has it all and you will need it all this weekend. I am honored to watch it!

Crush you are much better than your record! Picked up a couple of very strong players to add to their already destructive arsenal! They have the same coach for many years, who is top notch, and play a very nice game! Against strong teams they struggle a little to get the ball in scoring position. This will be what the coach needs to figure out before the game starts, or they will be in trouble. I know you just recently lost a Small sided game to MF, but this is large sided baby, 11 warriors vs. 11 warriors, now get that offense on the move!

If you read this far, might as well finish reading!

This is going to be a great weekend of soccer. All age groups being represented, but none from what I see, as equal as this U11 age group. Bring your kids to watch, you wont be dissapointed! In fact, look around the field and if you see a guy with a Red hat sitting by himself, come by, have a seat and say hello!

Oh, so you ask, who do I think will win? Who the hell cares!!!

Thanks for wasting your time reading this post. Now go get a life!

slander n. oral defamation, in which someone tells one or more persons an untruth about another which untruth will harm the reputation of the person defamed. Slander is a civil wrong (tort) and can be the basis for a lawsuit. Damages (payoff for worth) for slander may be limited to actual (special) damages unless there is malicious intent, since such damages are usually difficult to specify and harder to prove. Some statements such as an untrue accusation of having committed a crime, having a loathsome disease, or being unable to perform one's occupation are treated as slander per se since the harm and malice are obvious, and therefore usually result in general and even punitive damage recovery by the person harmed. Words spoken over the air on television or radio are treated as libel (written defamation) and not slander on the theory that broadcasting reaches a large audience as much if not more than printed publications.

This is comical how insane some people can become over youth soccer. To have such an obsession with someone that they feel the need to post things attacking another person.
The individual being attacked is someone I have know for many many years. Here's a few facts he spent many years volunteering for a soccer club. He built two very success soccer teams that played against the academy programs and had great success. He has helped nurmerous players get to the next level in soccer. He has relationships with many people in soccer all over the region as well the country. As with anyone so active he also has his detractors. He is currently a USSF referee and carded card in NJYS & US Club. He will be successful coaching anywhere he coaches because he has a passion for the game and a knack for developing great teams. His former players are currently playing at Louisville, Northeastern, University of Richmond, UNC-Charlotte, Rutgers, Seton Hall, just to name a few. Those are just some facts. If this person with all the negative energy would not have lost players to his team he would not be posting his banter. Just thought I would share some facts

Here's a FACT: Who the hell cares! Go take this gossip elsewhere.

Someone told me about this blog yesterday so I felt the need to come here post. This blogger is bashing one of the only individuals who coached in a town program and had success against academy teams. His teams have won multiple State Championships,Regional Championships, and played in National Championships. He had players coming from Pittsgrove and I drove my daughter from Bridgewater to play for him. Not everyone will agree with everything anyone does in youth soccer but as far as a quality person who cares about kids, he is all that and more. He did a ton for my daughter who is now a sophmore in college, she will be training with him and some of the other former teammates this summer. We joined his team from PDA and played for 3 years. My advice to this person with all the anger is hug your daughter and look in the mirror. Its not this guys fault that your not happy its your fault. I think the parents joining this team will know what I know, their coach is not only a quality coach he is someone who cares. Time for me to go to work but I felt it was important to post today.

Take down this blog! Actually this entire site should be eliminated. I went on all the topics, and all are the same. Very little content on soccer, predicitions, etc.. Only bashing of teams, coaches, etc.,

It is youth soccer! Enjoy the freakin expereience with your kids. It will go by way too fast and I hope that your memories will be good ones.

I hope that each player gets to achieve their goals and play to their highest potential, regardless of the bull that they will have to endure from parents and coaches.

There will always be unhappy parents. There will always be coaches that are not that great. There will always be winners and losers, that is sports. And when there are tournaments, there will only be one winner.

Be happy that your daughter is playing a beautiful game, and will learn a lot along the journey. Make sure that she enjoys the experiences! Her's will be different than that of any other player, she is an individual!

Be happy for your teammates when they are successful with your team, or if they move to a more or less competitive team. You never know who will be your teammate in the future!

Parents: Enjoy the games, enjoy watching your daughter compete, at what ever level she is playing. Support her and her teammates in their journey! Show respect for the teams/players they compete against as well as their coaches and the refs. They will do well some days and not so well other days, but it is a long process and although it is a beautiful game, it is a very hard game to play.

Take the time to hug your daughter after each game and let her know how much you enjoyed the game and watching her compete. Enjoy the car rides and the quality time you get to spend with her! It will all go by in a blink of an eye.

Stop the bashing, celebrate and enjoy every second you get to spend sharing this experience with your daughter!!!! Isn't that what truly matters?

Enjoy your games this weekend.

The Angry Soccer Parent has taken this blog to a new low.

To step back and consider the problem of The Angry Soccer Parent's ploys in the larger picture of popular culture imagery we need to begin with a frank acknowledgment of the basic humanness of each of us. And we must acknowledge that the plethora of obfuscating, multisyllabic phrases in The Angry Soccer Parent's publications serves only to accentuate the obscurity of his prose. And that's why I feel compelled to say something about dotty grizzlers. One of The Angry Soccer Parent's favorite dirty tricks is to forge letters from his opponents. These forgeries are laced with scandalous "revelations" about everyone The Angry Soccer Parent hates. Such trickery deflects attention from the fact that every time The Angry Soccer Parent gets caught trying to propitiate grumpy smart alecks for later eventualities, he promises he'll never do so again. Subsequently, his intimates always jump in and explain that he really shouldn't be blamed even if he does because, as they profess, lying is morally justifiable as long as it's referred to as "strategic deception".

The Angry Soccer Parent is like a magician who produces a dove in one hand while the other hand is feeding blind hatred. In any case, there is something in the way of "natural law" that can be stated awkwardly as follows: "The Angry Soccer Parent has no great love of democracy or egalitarianism." Please do not quote me on that. Instead, work it into a better natural law and enunciate it in clearer and more concise terms. It is immaterial who is credited with the words; the objective is to inculcate in the reader an inquisitive spirit and a skepticism about beliefs that The Angry Soccer Parent's advocates take for granted.

The Angry Soccer Parent wants nothing less than to engage in the trafficking of human beings, hence his repeated, almost hypnotic, insistence on the importance of his hate-filled grievances. I'm at loggerheads with him on at least one important issue. Namely, The Angry Soccer Parent argues that there is something intellectually provocative in the tired rehashing of merciless stereotypes. I take the opposite position, that many innocent people are being manipulated into heating the cauldron of terror until it boils over into our daily lives by the most sickening display of empty-headed, grotesque cant that I have ever witnessed in my entire life. I don't see how he can build a workable policy around wishful thinking draped over a morass of confusion (and also, as we'll see below, historical illiteracy), then impose it willy-nilly on a population by force. I'm not saying that it can't possibly be done but rather that people tell me that The Angry Soccer Parent, as our aberrant moron-in-chief, has been taking rights away from individuals on the basis of prejudice, myth, irrational belief, inaccurate information, and outright falsehood. And the people who tell me this are correct, of course. As solecism-oriented as it might sound, The Angry Soccer Parent throws the word "antianthropomorphism" around as if it had the same meaning to everyone. So I give you this letter. I hope it helps

Can anyone tell the truth here?
Is it enjoyable to lie, insult, and to look like a total jackass? Half the posts are insightful and thoughtful, the other half are made by idiots and the inbred.

The truth is 2-2 . They went up 2-0 and we came back to tie. I tried posting from the parking lot, but they didn't have wi-fi.

Stop starting crap already. It was a 2-2 tie.
You are more than welcome to have your coach contact the coach of either one of these teams as I am sure either team would love to play your daughter's team.
